Swamp Azalea (Rhododendron viscosum), also frequently called Clammy Azalea or Swamp Honeysuckle, is a highly adaptable, deciduous shrub native to wetlands, bogs, and stream banks across the eastern United States. Growing typically 3 to 5 feet tall (up to 8 feet in ideal settings) with an open, spreading form, it is uniquely famous for being one of the last native azaleas to bloom in summer.
