The Goma initiation mask, originating from the Goma and Bembe peoples of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), is a rare and highly symbolic tribal artifact. These carved wooden masks are used primarily in male initiation and circumcision ceremonies to symbolize community unity and passage into adulthood.
