The Mambila Suaga (or Suah Dua) helmet mask is a sacred, zoomorphic ritual object created by the Mambila people, who live along the border region of Cameroon and Nigeria.Worn horizontally over the head like a helmet or crest, these expressive masks feature a wide, gaping jaw, saw-like teeth, and abstract bird-like or animal features. They represent the mythic nsua-ndua bird (often identified as a crow) or stylized bush animals.
