The Senufo Kponyungo carved wood mask, also known as the "firespitter" mask, is a powerful helmet mask created by the Senufo people of Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, and Burkina Faso. It combines features of fierce animals like crocodiles, warthogs, and antelopes and was used during men's Poro society funeral rituals to drive away evil spirits.
