The Eben is a revered ceremonial and dancing sword utilized by the Edo people of the historic Benin Kingdom in modern-day Nigeria. Wielded by the Oba (king) and highest-ranking chiefs, it is instantly recognizable by its flat, leaf-shaped, or fan-like iron/brass blade, which features geometric openwork designs and a distinct circular looped handle.
