Authentic African Dogon crocodile masks (Waka Kakada or Agye) are hand-carved from single pieces of wood by the Dogon people of Mali. Traditionally, these weathered or pigment-painted masks are worn during sacred rituals to protect the community from the spirits of dangerous animals and commemorate historic hunts.
